Welcome

The Mt Hawthorn Hub is thrilled to bring the Streets and Laneways Festival to you for the second year.

The hub brings together local residents, retailers and community groups who want to maintain the unique identity of Mount Hawthorn and make it a welcoming place to live, work and play.

We encourage and promote the diversity, lifestyle and retail environment in Mount Hawthorn by building a unique sense of identity through the organisation of local events, creative projects and streetscape improvements.

The 2016 Streets and Laneways Festival will showcase the best of Mt Hawthorn, including our fabulous local businesses and our dynamic and  engaged community.

We look forward to seeing you there!

From our sponsors

The City of Vincent is proud to be the major sponsor of this fantastic community event. Well done to the Hub team and all the volunteers and local businesses for making this happen. The festival doesn’t just help put this great café, leisure and retail strip on the map, it also brings different communities together. Creating lasting connections and building local capacity is what community street festivals are all about – well, that and the food, fun, music and laughter! Please do come and say hi to myself and the Vincent Councillors today at our stall on ‘Greening Vincent Street’.
Enjoy the day!
